API Credits & Usage
Overview
Credits are consumed based on the number of companies returned in your API responses. Each company returned counts as one credit.
Credit Consumption Rules
Similar Companies Search
- 1 credit per company in the response
- Example: If you request 10 similar companies and receive 10 results, 10 credits will be consumed
Enrichment Endpoint
- 1 credit per company lookup
- Example: Looking up company information for a single domain consumes 1 credit
Optimizing Credit Usage
- Use the
limit parameter to control maximum results returned
- Filter criteria can help narrow results to only the most relevant companies
- The autocomplete endpoint is free and doesn't consume credits
Rate Limiting
- Results are limited to 100 companies per request
- Monthly credit limits apply based on your plan tier
Monitoring Usage
Real-time Credit Balance
Your current credit balance is returned in API responses via the following headers:
X-Credits-Used: Credits consumed by the current requestX-Credits-Remaining: Credits remaining in your account
Dashboard Analytics
Monitor your credit usage patterns through:
- Historical usage trends
- Credit consumption by endpoint
- Remaining balance tracking
